Opened in April 2016 at the Mill complex in northern Castlemaine, the Taproom is normally open four days a week serving delicious beverages, yummy food and beaucoup conviviality.
During June/July, we will be open six days a week, with reduced hours on Tues/Wed.

Tue/Wed 20th/21st: open 3-6pm. PLEASE NOTE NEW HOURS.
Thursday 22nd: Open 12pm til late. Tappy Hour 12-6pm – $10 pints, $5 pints. KARAOKE postponed until next week, sorry no pizza tonight.
Friday 23rd: Open 12-10pm. BRODERICK SMITH FREE! 8-10pm. The most recognisable voice in Australia (apols. Pauline) returns for another evening of songs and stories. Free entry. Pizza from 5-8pm.
Saturday 24th: Open 12pm to 10pm. Our normal cool and froody vibe, pizza from 12-3pm and 5-8pm.
Sunday 25th: Open 12pm to 8pm, pizza 12-3 and 5-8pm. MUSIC from 5-7pm – PETER BODIN: Castlemaine’s king of the melody from Mars and the lyric from left field.
EVERY WEEK IN THE TAPROOM:
Whet your whistle with one of ten brews – eight or nine craft beers brewed onsite, a ginger beer or an apple cider – on tap in pints and pots, or (best value alert!) get a tasting paddle with your choice of four for a tenner.
ON TAP THIS WEEK:
Seven Castlemaine brews: Shedshaker Pacific Ale, Felix Australian Pale Ale, Golden Ale, Espresso Lager, Lager Original Pils, Night Porter and Celtic Red. Rounding out the selection are Blue Elephant Custodian Apple Cider and Ginger Kid Ginger Beer (careful it’s 8% alcohol).
Don’t fancy a frothy brew? Choose from eight local wines, bubbles, ciders and soft drinks.
WHO SAID PIZZA? On Friday (5-8) and Sat/Sun (12-3 and 5-8) we offer tasty housemade pizza in five configs – 10″ for $10. Several veg options. We also feature two pizza specials some weekends.
